Holley is a canal village in Orleans County, where Route 31 crosses Route 237 and the Erie Canal runs along the edge of town. It has a village square and, in a small park below the canal, a waterfall that surprises most first-time visitors. The land around it is farms and orchards. At about 16 miles from our base in Greece, Holley is close enough that we don't charge for travel. Receptions here are usually in halls, restaurants, barns, and backyards. Parking around the square is on the street, so we pull up to the door to unload and then move the van.
